Earlier SU was the benchmark when it came to getting the root access, now Magisk has started to replace it.   • Removed the system based root in addon.d
  • Proper support for addon.d-v2 for preserving Magisk on custom ROMs with A/B devices
  • Enabledcthe KEEPVERITY when the device is using system_root_image
  • Added the hexpatch to remove Samsung defex in new Oreo based kernels
  • Support for non ext4 filesystems for mirrors (System/Vendor)
  • Make pts sockets always run in dev_pts secontext, providing all terminal emulator root shell the same power as adb shells
  • Kill all processes with the same UID of the target to workaround OOS embryo optimization
  • Moved all sepolicy patches of pre-init to prevent the Pixel 2 (XL) boot service from the breakdown

The Magisk version 17.0 and the Magisk manager version 5.90 were removed due to some issues, and now we have the newly revised 17.1 and 5.9.1 to replace the old ones.
