Asus started the year with a bang by introducing the new Zenfone 5 2018 series which offers quite a bang for your back. Asus launched Zenfone 5z flagship, the Zenfone 5 standard version, and the budget Zenfone 5 Lite. Along with that, the company is also doing decent enough in terms of providing updates and now the new Zenfone 5 standard variant is receiving its new big update, bringing in a lot of new features to play with, that makes it’s a worthy device.
This new update comes with software version number as 15.0615.1803.60, and it is currently seeding over the air. Moving ahead, this brings the much awaited and promised Face Unlock feature which is backed-up by AI on the device. Furthermore, more AI related enhancements are now being implemented on the device, this shall include the device figuring out what apps you use the most, adjusting the screen temperature as per your environment and such.
And there’s more, now the dual-cameras on the Asus Zenfone 5 will now support portrait mode or Bokeh Shots as Asus calls it, which was earlier missing from it. Apart from that, the overall camera performance has been refined for a more responsive experience, and now all features will work within the camera app.
Lastly, as always have at least 50% or more battery before downloading and installing to update, to prevent unexpected shut-downs during installation.
